2008!
ATHOS gets the trophy for the Obedience-dog of the year at Hogdal BK annual meeting! Very well done, Bettan! Congratulations!
February 17th, 2008:
PIMM got excellent and certificate at the DKK all breed international show in Odense, Denmark. Judge: Sv Otto Hansen.
It was a lovely weekend! PIMM and I travelled along with my very good friend Marie and her two brittanys Marco and Unni.
We booked a hotel but Bjarne (president of DWK) insisted that we should stay at their home for the weekend. So, once again,
we had a very pleasant stay at the Nürnberg-family in Glamsbjerg. THANK YOU very much!
Marie and her brittanys did very well at the show, too: Marco was graded "very good" and his daughter Unni got certificate,
BOS and CACIB and that gave her three new championtitles; danish, nordic and international showchampion! Wow! Huge
congratulations, Gunnar & Marie!
I, myself, am very pleased with PIMMs certificate, her first! Mummys little golden girl! The kilometres in the car on our
way back home felt very light and easy...
March 7th, 2008: Crufts, breedjudge Jean Fairlie (Tasairgid knls) and groupjudge Patsy Hollings (Gunalt knls).
How we did? VIBY entered in post graduate bitch, 17 entries. She was placed third! Wow! I did shiver all over my body and it
was very touching! It´s the first time ever a swedish-bred weimaraner competes at Crufts and it´s also the first time a
swedish weimaraner gets placed at Crufts. This is really big!!! You showed her so well, Marilyn! I´m so proud and even more prouder
I got when Steve and Marilyn gave me the rosette. THANKS, this is more than I imagined and it will sure be a very dear memory!
March 16th, 2008:

luck with the birds so no prize this time. His owner Peter got the trophy for best handler!
HUNTER achieved a fine firstprize in winnerclass with a prize of honour. This is his third 1st in winnerclass. Fantastic!
VIDAR has now passed "novice-class" in bloodtracking. Well done, Mikael!
April 19th:
At the Swedish Weimaranerclub annual meeting we were awarded with the breederprize in gold and CARMA was awarded with the
progeny-prize in bronze! Many thanks to all our puppybuyers spreading gold in our world! These awards would not have been able
without them! We sure are proud of you!
There were many prizes given at the meeting. We were top-3 in many of them but did not get any this year. Worth meantioning,
though, is the Prize for Best Hunter given to a "grand-son" of ours - Wellieson Gatsby. This prize we have had the honour to
win several years with our own dogs; great grandmother of Gatsby, ASTI, did win it twice and her daughters - BABBEN (Gatsby´s granny)
also had it twice and her half-sister IDA did win it once. You might say that "it is in the family"? Awesome!

May 18th:
Today we´ve been to the SKK national show in Hässleholm. Judge: Svend Lövenkjaer, Denmark.
PIMM got her first second ever! That was indeed a very rare and odd situation for me... I couldn´t remember if and when our own dogs
ever have had a second, so I simply had to go through all critics. Oh, yes, once and only once before - in July 1997 DISA
had a second at a show.
KAISER was our pride and joy this day and had a certificate and was best of breed! Very well done, Camilla!
Béné och HARPER är på holländska weimaranerklubbens ClubShow och han vinner sin klass (workingclass) och var den enda i klassen med excellent! Domare: S. Hollings, England.

VIBY has done her hip-x-ray: she was graded 4:7, which is a little bit lower than the breed average score (12 in England). Good!
June 15th:
At the FJD show in Vissenbjerg, Denmark, HUNTER got his first certificate! Congratulations!
HUNTER has done his retrievingtest and passed very well: 9/10/10=29. Well done, Kristian!

August 9th:
Congratulations to Camilla and KAISER having certificate and BOS at SKK show in Ronneby. It was KAISERs third and last cert!
August 13th:
We did have a very sad evening yesterday:
TERRA was playing in the garden with her litterbrother and mom in the garden. Probably, she has stuck her leg somewhere and
twisted her right back under so it was broken. It was not totally broken. She now has plaster and has to rest.
Today, we have spent the day at our vets (the best staff ever!) and did a new plaster. We sure hope TERRA gets well soon!
August 16th:

September 23rd:
HARPER does well at the open fieldtrials in Polminhac in Frankrike: a firstprize EXC and was placed third. Congratulations, Béné!
September 24th:
And this day is HARPER´s day, too in Polminhac: a secondplace with VG. Well done!
Happy news: ELSA has done her x-ray: A on hips and no remarks on elbows!
September 27th:
It´s not that easy being a "kennel-mama"... This weekend I had to work, and this weekend we had three "kids" and a number of "grand-children" at trials - at three different places! I´ve spend the whole day keeping my fingers crossed, awaiting textmessages and phonecalls, being moral support and on top of that keeping my concentration of my work. Not quite easy! But it was worth it!
JETTA entered in youthclass and had bad luck in field with birds and partner. I know that Bettan will do fine tomorrow!
VIDAR and Micke entered in youthclass and had 7 in field and 7 at the retrieve. One (!) single point from having a firstprize, but who cares?!
Our "grand-children" did fine as well at fields: MUSSEs son Lockfågelns Åliwer got a 2nd in youthclass, MUSSEs son Wellieson Gandalf got a 2nd in elite-class and WISSEs daughter Snaiper´s Leia got a 1st in youthclass. Awesome fun!
Then there´s two more, entering the "fulltrials":
At the moment, CARMA is third (out of 8 competing dogs) having 74 points, MUSSEs daughter Wellieson Game is second having 84 points and a GWP is in the lead having 88 points. Not bad at all! Four of the competing dog did not manage the fox, but that wasn´t either CARMA or "Gaia". The trial continues tomorrow and we do hope that they will have points in all disciplines...
Big congratulations to you all! I bet I´ll fall asleep with a big smile! New day tomorrow with hopefully more happy news!
September 28th:
What a marvellous day!
JETTA entered in youthclass and got a 2nd prize. Jolly good, Bettan!
VIDAR entered also in youthclass and had also a 2nd prize. Well done, Micke!
ISA entered in elite-class but fancies the deers a little bit too much... Better luck next time, Niclas, you "only" need one first having the FT-championtitle!
MUSSEs son Lockfågelns Åsborn gets a 2nd prize in youthclass.
And, the summary of the SVK "fulltrials": A total of 8 competing dogs, 4 dogs were awarded with prizes. Fourth place went to CARMA, having 204 points and a 3rd prize. Third place went to her niece Wellieson Game, having 205 points and a 3rd prize. Second place went to a kleiner münsterländer (Rogstabergets Jackson Browne) and winner was a GWP (Landinarnas Frodo). I´ll update soon with points and prizelist, and you´ll see yourself how the dogs were awarded and who had most points at fieldwork :-)
Once more the weimaraner has proved having good quality as breed and also shown the allround-hunter it truly is. CARMA and "Gaia" are the first two swedish weimaraners having a prize from "fulltrials"! It´s running in the family...
I´m a very proud "kennel-mama" today! This whole weekend has been fantastic! Not only one of our dogs having a prize - there were several...
The recepy having success seems to be following: Get yourself a nice bitch - have a litter - find good puppybuyers - enter some fieldtrials - have some awards. It´s as simple as that?! :-)
We are humble to our lovely puppybuyers; we couldn´t make it without you!
Last but not least: Many THANKS Conny and Annette, having taken care of both BABBEN and PIMM! You´re as good as gold!
October 3rd:
HARPER gets a 1st with excellent and CACT at open fieldtrials in Frankrike. Wow! Béné, we are more than proud!!!
October 4-5th, SWeiK Clubchampionships at Fjällskär:
CARMA came into season some days ago, so she was not allowed to run at the fieldtrials. So, Nicke brought his gun and was Mr. 100% the whole weekend!
I decide to have a go with PIMM. She gets full points at the tracking but then did not make any success in the rest. We suspect that she has borreliosis.
Camilla and KAISER succeeds with water 9, tracking 10 buth the partridges were way too fun, so no points at field. He becomes best dog in openclass tracking!
VIDAR enteres in youthclass and gets 8 points in water and 4 poins in tracking but does not succeed in the field.
JETTA enteres in youthclass with Anders as handler this time. They succeed in having a fine secondprice. Congratulations!
Our relatives worth mentioning at the trials: Landsbygdens Retur "Nisse", father of our K-litter, gets a thirdprize in openclass. Wellieson Game, CARMAs niece, gets a secondprize in elit-class. Freja, CARMAs cousin, gets a secondprize in openclass. Congratulations to all of you!
HARPER gets a 2nd with excellent and R-CACT at fieldtrials in France. Fantastic!
A film of HARPER winning RCACT at the open FT of Pontfaverger
HARPER has done it again - this time a fifth and Very Good! Wow!
HARPER has at the open FT in Andechy in France got a 3rd Very Good! Well done!
VIBY has qualified for Crufts 2009! Well done, Marilyn!
Just have to tell you about CARMA´s cousin Lukas (Garbus Man In Black x SUCH FINUCH Moin):
This year he has been to three FTs and have achieved good prizes at all of them!
At the first FT he (finally!) had a firstprize in openclass and now has the title Swedish Showchampion!
At the second trial he once again proved that he´s a talented - another firstprize in openclass!
At the FTs yesterday he had a nice secondprize in elit-class. Congratulations, Helena and Lars!
October 14th:
HARPER wins the open FT in MONTS s/GUENES Harper with 1st EXCELLENT. No dog were given the CACT.
Fantastic results: at nine fieldtrials he has prizes from seven! We are incredibly proud of our "little french-man"!!!
October 18th:
SWeiK fieldtrials on Gotland:
Bettan and JETTA enteres in openclass but did not have a bird in the fields.
Marcus and EMBLA in elit-class do have same bad luck.
PIMM enteres in openclass and gets 5 points in field and 7 in retrieving. If she wouldn´t have been too keen on going for the partridge in the retrieve, she would have had a higher points in field... But we are pleased with a second-prize! There were only two dogs given a prize this day!
October 19th:
SWeiK fieldtrials on Gotland:
Anders enteres JETTA in openclass but does not have a prize, same with Marcus and EMBLA in elit-class.
Bad conditions with difficult winds and running pheasants makes that neither PIMM is having a prize. But at least, she was one of the very few dogs who found birds this day!
October 28th:
HARPER has been to fieldtrials in Escource and had a 4th with Excellent. Only 5 out of 11 dogs had prizes. Congratulations, Béne!
It has been a fantastic weekend! Have a look at "Happenings" -> "Halloween 2008".
2 november:
HARPER goes to trials again, in Herm, and has a 2nd with Excellent. This time 2 out of 11 dpgs had prizes. Well done, Béne!
Babben, soon 12 years.
November 9th:
Another awesome day! We went to check our grounds to the forthcoming FTs.
We did find some roedeer, here´s a picture of one of them. It went rather quickly ´cause with our very youngest and our very oldest in couple there´s no other option... Of course we found some hare, partridges and pheasants, too! But those pics I keep in my own "harddrive"! ;-))
Lovely news from Denmark!
HUNTER has become father. A litter of eight and proud mom is MARKPR Becca. We do look forward to see these stars in the future!
A son of WISSE, Asleik, has now the title danish champion! Big congratulations!
November 21st:
Congratulations to JETTA having a second prize in openclass fieldtrials. Well done, Anders!
At the same fieltrial, Woksebs Ozzie (CARMA´s halfsister) had a first in elit-class and the title Swedish Fieldtrial champion! Congratulations, Ingela!
LUCAS has done his hip-x-ray: HD A and elbows with no remarks. Great!
What a lovely weekend! We have had our traditional First of Advent-Trial here on Öland. FTs are allways a bit "tricky" this time of year, since you never know about the weather, wind and how the birds are. It´s not easy but with good huntingdogs it works out well...
On the Saturday 50% of the dogs had prizes and on the Sunday 80% of the dogs were awarded. Extra fun with CHIVA, on her first FT ever, having a prize and became Scuba´s 22nd fieldtrial-merited dog!
An awesome weekend with lovely people, nice food, wild pheasants and good dogs; what else can you ask for?! And many thanks to Marcus, for judging our dogs this weekend!

December 6th:
What a lovely day! Our K-litter are today 6 months old. We´re celebrating this going hunting with our dogs. As we´re walking along in the fields, the dogs are searching brilliant, pheasants on the flush, I manage to stop PIMM running after a hare, life´s good, we get the good news:
JETTA gets a CAC, CK, CACIB and wins the bitches class and becomes BOS at the international show in Stockholm! She´s now qualified to Crufts in 2009! Awesome! We sure are proud of you! Grand-pa "Nordic" becomes second of the males and male-CAC is given to a son of MUSSE; "Åliwer". Oh boy, oh boy! Huge congratulations!
And then we recieve more happy news! Béné and HARPER gets CACIB at the show in France and now has the title international champion - CHIB! Wow! HARPER has also been at the FTs on natural game in Vendome and had a 3rd with Excellent. Champagne, anyone?!
There are no other feelings than enourmous pride of beeing breeder, having fantastic puppybuyers - it´s absolutely perfect! It´s a pity that I have to go to work this night, otherwise I´m sure we would have opened a nice and cold champagne this evening...
December 13th:
ELSA gets a fine thirdprize in youthclass fieldtrials! Congratulations, Thomas and well done! This is our fifth fieldtrial-merited in our J-litter. Fantastic!
December 23rd:
Our beloved BABBEN and her littermates are 12 years old!
Our first weimaranerlitter! I remember it as it was yesterday - ASTI had a longlasting whelping with big puppies... And then we just sat there, by the puppybox, admiring the little wonder-kids. Well, finally, we went to bed. The day after was Chrismas Eve, ham in the oven, pickled herring, cuddling with the puppies and finally Donald Duck on the tv. (Swedish Christmas-tradition at three o´clock at X-mas Eve) We both fell a sleep in the sofa! This is, so far, the first and only Christmas I haven´t seen Donald Duck on tv, but who cared right then? Having eight precious kids in the puppybox, everything else seemed to have less value...
We believed in what we did then, and we still do. Having the facts in our hands, today twelve years later, we know we were right on track! BABBEN has a numerous amount of highly merited children, grand-children and great grand-children in Sweden as well as abroad. Many generations is to come in years, and it feels absolutely wonderful!
